Record numbers turning out to vote in NC.
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 03:12 PM by blm
I think we're taking NC, folks.

This state often elects Dems to statewide office, like Governor or Senator, when there is heavy voter turnout. The lines have been long ALL OVER THE STATE ever since early voting started last week.

2. I am confident we will win, but secretly hopeful for a Reaganesque map.
In blue, of course.

3. Sounds too good to be true
I'll have to reserve judgement. Everywhere early voting seems to be up tremendously. I have a suspicion that this is just people like me who used to always vote on Election Day.

8. I believe NC can go BLUE!
I've been canvasing and let me tell you that the Dem's are FIRED UP! Everyone wants a Kerry pin, bumpersticker, yardsign -- whatever you can give them. Kerry/Edwards signs are out everywhere in Durham with hardly any Bush signs. In fact it must be 10 to 1. IF we can keep up our GOTV efforts up to and including Nov. 2nd, NC truly could GO BLUE!

We have already beaten the early vote record, and still have 5 days...

10. I still don't feel comfortable
about Bowles. Special interest money is flowing into the state to defeat him and elect Burr.

12. Yes, I voted in Raleigh on Sunday, at least 1000 people voted
I was like number 850 on the machine, and they still had 90 minutes to go, and folks were lined up out the door and down the sidewalk. Juding from the crowd, guesswork at best, I'm thinking at least 2/3 were democrats. Still, it was incredible to see that many folks out on a cold and rainy day.
