Right Wing Radio Got Bush Lovers Hopes Up Only For The Nightly News
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 09:00 PM by Quixote1818
Bring them crashing down!

I was listening to Rush today and then to my local station here in Albuquerque with the local Host and ALL these callers were calling in asking for heads to roll at CBS and for Kerry to apologies to Bush. They were all convinced that the story was a scam and had no legs and had been completely debunked and 60 Minutes was pulling their show because it was all false. They even had me worried. Then I got home and watched NBC and CBS News and the story was as strong as ever and NBC was saying the Bush Administration had twisted their words. It was a beautiful thing!

You have to know that they got the hopes of all these people up in the clouds and got them all angry and ready for blood and then they get home to watch all the news stations back petal and then the story is going full force! Their hearts must have been torn out! Now all the moderates who listen to these guys must be scratching their heads and are thinking: "THESE GUYS ARE ABSOLUTELY FULL OF SHIT!!!! THESE GUYS ARE DESPERATE". Then watching that guy in the crowd throw that question at Bush about the Weapons and Bush look nervous and does not say ANYTHING! IT WAS PRICELESS! I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF!

1. As usual when the news really stings, Rush "advised" Kerry to stop
talking about it. He said that the missing explosives story PROVED that Iraq was dangerous and had to be invaded, in order to keep bombs out of the hands of......well, it makes a lot more sense when Rush is tossing it off on the way to a 30 second hemorroid ad.

2. Here's an example of just how dangerous and how powerful these
right-wing lying goons are. I saw a USA Today poll tonight on CNN Headline News. The question was about who was responsible for the flu vaccine shortage. The answers? The Drug Manufacturers was #1, then the Government, then TRIAL LAWYERS, then *! Trial lawyers ended up ahead of * by several points. A direct-link, once again, from the lies that these assholes spew to the public's brain (or lack thereof). This makes me so angry. These people tell their lies and people believe them. So I don't know how much damage control that NBC and ABC can do telling it like it truly is in the scope of a 30-minute news show (which is really only 22 minutes) when these right-wing goons have hours of radio and television time each and every day to lie away, unchecked, and unchallenged.

3. The amount of people who listen to talk radio compared to Nightly News
is quite small I believe.

4. Did you see the poll demostrating how
Fox viewers thought WMD had been found in Iraq, that Saddam planned 9/11, etc, etc? Between right wing media, Bush and the just plain lying talking heads, its a veritable font of ignorance.

7. I agree with you 100%
I have seen sane family and friends hypnotized by their
rhetoric. It is something that mystifies me how people can
change their thinking patterns after a steady dose of the
propaganda they listen to on hate radio. I guess that was
their main purpose in getting rid of the Fairness Doctrine, to
strengthen the fascist movement.

6. back petal
I think it's back peddle. Probably not as in pedal backwards to put on the brakes, but probably rather "attempt to sell back something yhou bought in error"
