Anyone notice the "but" pundits on cable news? |
|
Example: "Polls show that the Democrats have out registered Republicans in the swing states BUT historically newly registered voters have not come out to vote."
"Iraqi government says that it is impossible that the explosives from the aaQaasa(sp) storage were removed before the US invasion BUT the Bush administration alleges that the explosives were not found by US troops on the ground."
"The momentum in swing states appears to be shifting for Kerry in battleground states BUT it's too close to call."
No matter what the issue is, the pundits go out their way to make excuses for Bush, obscure damaging revelations about Bush, and divert attention away from important issues to the general public.

2. Wow! You'd almost think that the media are in Bush's camp! |

3. Astute observation, Sara! |

They also hide behind "we have to report on both candidates equally" horse hockey when they do this.
My husband's uncle, Senator Sam of Watergate fame, called this "Bear and Squirrel Stew": add one bear and one squirrel (equal parts?) and tell me how good the squirrel tastes!
