Colorado Springs early voting
My boss went in today to vote early and guess what?! Some background first...El Paso County has 3 early voting places and 550,500 people. She went in at 8 am and found a huge line. People had been there since 7 am and the line was 3 hours long!! That's SOME turn out for just one morning! Needless to say she will be trying again tomorrow or Monday, if not then she'll vote on Tuesday. Good news from the Springs!

3. Will high turnout in Colorado Springs really play to our advantage?
My understanding is, it's an incredibly conservative area. How much of that is demographics vs. voter turnout among the resident Democrats?

5. It is highly conservative
however, I have been seeing more and more Kerry stickers these days. Not all of El Paso County is conservative either, there are pockets of progressives everywhere like in Manitou Springs and the southside of Colorado Springs. Unfortunately, I live on the "stinky" side of town.

There was a guy standing on the corner with a Ken Salazar sign this morning and he was getting loads of honks, waves and thumbs up. Don't count us out in Colorado!
