My born again Christian Bush-supporting dad hasn't voted yet..... |
|
The bad news is that he will, in fact, probably vote for Bush. BUT....and this is the good news....he said he doesn't care who wins, and isn't Iraq a mess we need to get outta there, and why can't we get prescriptions from Canada?
It's good news 'cause my dad is a hard core to the right Bush supporter. If HE feels this way......
I feel a breeze a'headin' this way, ya'll.

Which means he's RIPE for the picking!
Anyway he can maybe not vote?
Is there early voting in your state? If not, could he be REALLY busy on Tuesday? Is it a swing state?
LOL!

10. He's in Louisiana, not my state of Texas. No early voting. So he's |
|
voting 11/2, like my stepmother. He could've done absentee ballot (he's old enough), but he's retired, so it's no big deal going to the polls on D-Day.
I didn't want to get into a political discussion w/him to try to persuade him. I wouldn't want him to do that with me. And because he's part of that religious right group, I have a feeling his conscience wouldn't let him vote against Bush.
Besides, I have another relative there (one of those "young people" who is voting for the first time!) who is at my dad's house almost every day, having political discussions with my folks, trying to convince them to vote for Kerry. He's not making any headway with my stepmother...but it seems like my dad is having second thoughts. Could be that my young relative will be able to convince my dad.

2. Research on the internet and find some |
|
information from Christians supporting Kerry. I know there is at least a christansforkerry web site. (I'm Jewish so I don't have a ton of info myself but I have definitely heard of that web site). Don't give up on him. Tell him about how Bush talks like a Christian but doesn't practice what Jesus taught (even I know that!)

11. This is a good idea! I think I'll do this! The Christian aspect is |
|
critical for my dad and stepmother, and something I really can't argue with them about.

4. My dad voted for Bush in 2000 and would not vote for Kerry. He voted but |
|
left the presidency part blank. Don't give up.

15. I briefly read that article, and that looks like exactly how my dad feels! |
|
It's amazing! I think he'd be surprised to know there are others who feel that way. Thanks.

9. Email him the photo of Bush flipping the bird |
|
And make sure he knows that was AFTER his "conversion"
The man is a total fraud, and the born again crowd has fallen for it hood line and sinker.
