CBS news - had nothing but bad news for * tonight
Led with "Bush camp off stride".

Showed Gulliani blaming the troops - "they didn't search carefully enough" - same day Bush accused Kerry of blaming the troops!

"Kerry has momentum because of the weapons controversy." Iraqi official said weapons disappeared after fall of Baghdad. Iraqi gov laying it at the feet of the Bush Administration."

"No republican has ever won the white house without Ohio." Polls show slight lead for Kerry.

100,000 civilian deaths in Iraq.

CARE shutting down operations in Iraq, too dangerous.

US extending tours for US troops in Iraq.

Stocks had a whopping 2.51 point rally today.

Flu vaccine shortage will ease according to gov - have found 5 mil vaccines in Germany.

Sportsmen and hunters - going for Kerry? "hook & bullet crowd" - 30 million voters - historically voted Republican - polls now say they're worried Bush not conserving environment but favoring oil companies - they want to pass fishing and hunting on to their children. It's "not just about gun rights anymore."

All in all, a very bad news day for *.

6. Did they actually point out that Rudy
was blaming the troops after * accused Kerry of doing that, or did they just run the tape? Was it presented in a neutral way or framed to show how hypocritical these idiots are? I feel so out of it since I'm boycotting all corporate media! Glad to hear there are some bright spots.:)

7. The former.
They said * is accusing Kerry of "blaming the troops" then pointed out that Rudy did same thing and showed the video.

On ABC, btw, they said Rudy later backed off but it had the unfortunate (for *) effect of keeping it in the news another day.

And, on ABC, they showed the video of * shooting the bird!!!!!! Said that file has been dl'd over a million times.

12. unfortunately
CNN also reported that study, and that is the number they came up with. I don't know who the organization is that did the study. But is it really that surprising? We use jets and bombs over civilian areas.

17. The 100,000 wasn't the civilian casualty rate from our attacks
It was the increase in regular civilian deaths over what would have occured naturally due to all causes, such as disease, accidents, bad medical care, etc.

I think this is the same group which estimated that the first Bush's sanctions caused over a million deaths after the first Gulf War. This is one of those costs of war that Americans are clueless about, never having experienced a war, but which the rest of the world understands. Watch "A Grave for Fireflies" if you want a better picture of it-- one of the best films ever made, and you can buy it at Target (which supports Democrats) in their anime section.

They hate us for our freedoms, you know. Our freedom to slaughter their children on the slightest of whims.
