That's what happens when you go by your "gut faith. aka "assumptions are |
|
the mother of all fuck-ups."
Old army saying. bush should have known it. Oh wait, duh me, bush was AWOL.
bushCartel assumed and TRULY BELIEVED our troops would be greeted as hero warriors. They TRULY BELIEVED a Baghdad Square would be named in honor of bush.
They assumed and TRULY BELIEVED bush would be hero-worshipped by the Iraqis the way Clinton is by Kosovo.
They assumed and TRULY BELIEVED there was no need to secure any nuclear/weapons/munitions/explosives sites, dumps, facilities, shops; because the Iraqis would so love the troops, they wouldn't loot any of the sites, dumps, facilities, shops to use the nuclear/weapons/munitions/explosives against our troops.
They were DEAD WRONG.
bushCartel assumed and TRULY BELIEVED Iraq's oil would pay for the war and the reconstruction of what WE destroyed. Aside from the incredible immorality of that, $225 BILLION of OUR MONEY later...
They were DEAD WRONG.
bushCartel assumed and TRULY BELIEVED there would be NO CASUALTIES. Over 100,000 dead Iraqis later...over 1200 dead soldiers later...
They were DEAD WRONG.
Even after all the top military experts, all the top mid east experts, all the UN and IAEA experts, all the world's intell agencies, all the think tanks, WARNED bushCartel, they assumed otherwise.
And they were DEAD WRONG.
