Rub it in? Who has lost? Just bushco. Anyone who is an American citizen wins if John Kerry is elected.
If by rub it in you mean keep working to convince people that John Kerry will be a great president, then I will.
If you mean I will keep working to hold our leaders accountable, I will.
If you mean I will say "told you so," and act like I did when the Sox won, then no.
If we are going to go around saying we have a better and more upstanding candidate, we need to act like it when he wins. We have to include everyone in our victory, even those who will still be convinced of bush's holiness. We need to be the bigger people and reach across the divide and embrace our lost brothers and sisters and living up to the precedent the leaders in our party have set for us.

Those who have been mocking Kerry and refusing to engage in honest discussion but rather have just been agitators, yes, I will remind them that all their words are hollow.
Those who have fought the good fight will get no grief from me. There's a dear friend of mine from Texas -- Republican as the day is long, but she's a real LADY. She never insults, never uses harsh language, never even seems to get excited. A wonderful person. When everything was ashes for me in December 2000, she told me that there would be another election and another day. We still disagree about almost everything politicial but I love her and I respect her. And perhaps, with hard work and a little bit of luck, maybe I can offer her some comforting words on Tuesday night.

31. I want to so badly but like other DUers have said, |
|
I want this country to heal and unify. Somehow I don't think the Right is going to allow that to happen. I believe they will be as bitter as they have always been since Clinton came into office. We just need to show them love AND justice anyway. They won't understand that. They'll continue to attack and divide and polarize as much as they can. I choose not to partake in that mentality. I know the world's problems will not totally be solved with Kerry. They should know that, too. They're looking for a messiah and it's hard telling them that it won't be found in a political leader. What I will impress upon them is that the secretive anti-inclusive majority is out and that I feel included again which I didn't feel under the Bush presidency.
I'm not going to rub it into my co-workers faces because I know bad things can still occur under a Democratic presidency just as easily. I don't want to eat crow like they've had to. But under my skin, inside, I will feel at least a little more comfortable with my government.
Hope is on the way. Hope is on the way for ALL of us now.

36. This country - despite some posters good intentions- isn't |
|
going to heal and unify.
That's wishful thinking. At the very least, it shows that some of us don't understand the depths of the far right's embrace of hatred and irrationality. They aren't interested in healing- and frankly, neither am I. Not with them.
We can NEVER EVER let up on these types. EVER. If we do, they will- as sure as I know my name, fuck us over and stab us in the back. We need to work harder than ever to marginalize them- and relegate them back to the fringe- where they belong. Taking back the media is the first step to doing that.
Nope, I won't gloat. What good will that do? The monumental mess they've made will easily take a decade to simply repair- and Kerry's not going to be able to do it alone. He'll need at least some help from the VERY few less far right Republicans to get even modest programs approved.

Not crassly, of course. All of this "healing" stuff sounds good but it has no real chance until we take back control of Congress and a bunch of the governorships, most explicitly Florida's. "Healing" and such means only that both sides agree to a break because they're temporarily short on ammunition, unfortunately.

I will calmly make clear that it is now obvious who represents American values- and Bush never did.
They will move from denial, to anger, to bargaining, to depression, and finally to acceptance. (The 5 Stages of Freeper Grief).
Right now I'm seeing lots of denial/anger- which is better than a few months ago when all I saw was "denial."
I'm even seeing a bit of bargaining- but not much yet.

76. If we win (and make sure all Kerry voters you know actually do vote) |
|
I'll be happy.
But I won't gloat or rub it in, because I'm not a moran, and rubbing it in is for sports fans. In spite of how they act over on Free Republic, this is a little more important than sports.
But feel free to rub it in for me.

I'll definitely enjoy watching them meltdown, that's for sure. As far as 'rubbing it in', well it just depends on the given situation I guess. But I'm not above taking some pot shots.

81. Certain bush supporters deserve it ! |
|
For the most part I will keep my comments on the positive side , like this will be good for our country. However there are a couple of bush supporters that I know that did not pull any punches after the 2000 election fiasco . Those are the ones I will zero in on to do my victory dance around. Iam holding out hope that 2 one term bushes will be the nail in the cofin of any other bush, politicial desires !

83. I recall the mean protesters that set up outside of the VP |
|
residency. I even remember that Cheneys' or *s' kids showed up to heckle the Gore family. I hope we can find a more appropriate way to say goodbye.

85. Ah, the election isn't over |
|
And God knows I want Kerry to win, but I'm still waiting for people to vote and the results to come in before I start making celebration plans.

86. The one and only thing I want to tell freerepublic.com is that |
|
Dick Cheney wasn't loaded for BEAR. He was loaded with shit in his pants and smelled terrible for the last four years.
Get over it!
