2. Very illegal....
It is against the law to campaign within so many yards of the polls.

3. It is in Texas.
No T-shirts, buttons, or other literature or signage that promote a particular candidate or issue.

9. It sure is..but......I was sitting in the Dem office here locally
When another volunteer walked in laughing about a little old lady that voted in front of her that was wearing a big T-Shirt that said Friends don't Let Friends vote Democrat on the back of it.

Nothing was said to the lady who was about 80.

While all this is illegal, I do think that we all need to relax a bit. By the time someone is at the poll they have their mind made up and the little old lady was not gonna change anyones vote. She was really funny to look at I would imagine. However the poll workers did not tell her to go out and turn it inside out.

We need to pick our battles.

This is TX and it is a rural county. I dont see the need to enforce the law strictly against an elderly lady but I do see a problem with poll workers that don't do it.

8. As long as you're voting it's okay in PA...
I wore three Dem pins in 2002 when I went in to vote with no problem. I mean, how can they regulate what a VOTER wears?

But, if you're going in with a friend or something and you aren't voting, you can't. At least thats the case in PA.

12. How about Nixon pins?
I've been wearing Nixon pins and when people ask about them I say it's a reminder that America can make really stupid choices during a war.

13. Yes
In fact, in Dallas, you can't wear a Cowboys t-shirt to the polls because there is a stadium initiative on the ballot and wearing Cowboys' gear can be considered campaigning.

A political badge, political button, or other political insignia may not be worn at or about the polling place on primary or election day.
