6. Smith was co-chair with Cheney on the Viet Nam MIA hearings....

He was in the Navy on an oiler.... a ship off shore that gased up other ships.

I thought he was pretty stupid, when I saw him during those hearings. But that investigation helped reduce the perception that the VN commies were still holding our guys, for some reason I never fully understood.
