Early voters - How did you feel voting for Kerry/Edwards?
I know this is silly, but when I used the touch screen here in Nevada, I pressed a little bit harder and a little bit longer with conviction and emphasis. I am proud of my vote.

2. Nervous.
Fortunately, my housemate and I went together and we checked over each other's ballot to make sure we had voted correctly (our choices were the same anyway) and had not marked in the wrong place.

Then we fed them through the scan machine. :whew:

last Friday. Pick up and delivery, in person. And on a personal note, I haven't had ONE hot flash since. I am not kidding. They are gone!

5. Proud. Happy. Optimistic.
And after watching Going Upriver, I believe John Kerry will be one of our greatest Presidents ever.

And I go all the way back to Kennedy.

Great. He wasn't my first choice, I supported Dean in the primary, but I saw the program on PBS called "The Choice 2004" where they paralleled Bush & Kerry, and I was truly impressed by looking back at his record of service to America. To see him as such a well-spoken, determined and principled young man following Vietnam really gave me a sense that I could proudly say that I support him for president.

7. GREAT!
I hit the "cast" button...immediately drove home...made mad passionate love to my girlfriend (FYI best five minutes of her life).

She said, "What the hell got into you?"

"I caught the Ghost, baby."

9. Relieved...and then a little anxious as we get closer and closer.
In my heart of heart, I truly believe Kerry will win in a landslide. But in the sheer bullshit case that he isn't called the winner, I am going to break down and cry my heart out. This has been such a long, hard battle. I will be overwhelmed if Kerry is not the outright winner Tuesday night....

10. NO!
You will NOT cry your heart out. You will get pissed, and you will use that anger to do what you can to make sure that every person voted, and that every vote was counted.

16. honey, I've been pissed for 4 years and not always directing my
anger properly. Crying doesn't mean giving up. But I know what you mean and I'll be back in good shape for the next fight. I'll see you here.

13. Strong sense of relief
...followed by a determination to get every Democrat in my county to the polls.

I brought seven people with me, all straight-ticket voters, to early voting. It was awesome!!

14. I was finally having my voice be heard after 4 years of oppression.
Never voted before, but I felt really good and I double-checked before I pressed the "Cast Vote" button, but am still apprehensive because it was Touch Screen voting, which I surely DO NOT trust!

Go President Kerry!

22. I had an absentee ballot. This is what I did:
Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 07:35 AM by The Backlash Cometh
I examined the No. 2 pencils in the house and selected one made in America just to make sure the quality would meet standards. It was a Papermate. I didn't start coloring in the circles right away. It took a few days to gather information on the Amendments and local elections and I completed the form over the span of a few days. The Kerry/Edwards oval was the first one I filled in. At first, I was so careful to color inside the oval that the coloring was light. Over the course of the days, I noticed I was filling in the other ovals darker, so I colored in the Kerry/Edwards oval again.

I tell you, Monk has nothing over me.

24. It was awesome- I had a touch screen with stylus pen and when
I got to the end of the ballot I hit the back page button to go back to page one just so I could see my checked box next to K/E. Then I hit the Vote button.

26. I was relieved that there wasn't any snafu
and very happy. Our ballot was a "fill in the arrow" type that went through a scanner. <---- ---<. You filled in the arrow of your choice. I triple-checked it and admired my arrow filled in for Kerry/Edwards then I plopped it through the scanner, grabbed 9 "I voted early" stickers, one for each day until the election.

33. It WAS different; it really drove home the importance of
what I was doing. I filled out my vbm ballot at home, and I didn't hesitate at all, but after I marked it, I stopped and thought about the impact it will have on my 7 yo son. It was incredible.
