2. Started a similar thred in GD a few minutes ago.
Hope this one sticks. This is important, and you are correct. The ad is directly above the Latest Breaking News in an area where they frequently highlight important stories. Their bias is showing.

4. Told them I hoped they could use the money for the ad
since they had sold their reputation for it.

That wasn't too subtle, was it?

6. As it says on the bottom of the ad "Paid for by...
The Republican National Committee" and "This is a political advertisement", I wouldn't doubt it's both a psychological endorsement and an advertisement of their so-called party "platform" - at least the one they put out in public.

From what I understand, so long as they don't actually have a name or say something like "the Republican Party and the President" it's not really an actual endorsement.

I would like to see a DNC ad next to it or on the other side of the page from it, though - otherwise, it does seem that "Yahoo" production or advertising staff might be taking sides.

10. You're right. It's gone.

Now has a "Yahoo News Election Cycle Guide: News, Candidate Info, Blogs, Polling Place Lookup, more"

Cool.

15. Yahoo endorses Bush every day with their headlines!
Are you shocked that they would give the Republicans front page placement?

Yahoo is a right wing organization - you can probably bet that the Republican Party is not paying full price for that ad.

Yahoo is part of the right wing media, don't be fooled.
