HOLY FALAFEL! 80,000 people in JoCo Kansas voted so far! |
|
I heard on the news that 80K people in (former) Repuke stronghold Johnson County KS have voted so far. Cars were lined up 200 yards down the street just to vote! They said this turnout is breaking all records for early voting!

9. Might they be zealous republicans? Isn't it a repuke stronghold? Or have |
|
those Democrats been turned off in the past with the huge republican majority? I hope you are right. It is certainly a good sign for us across America.

I'm in JoCo and I will say this... moderate informed Republicans are NOT happy with Chimpo.
A (Republican) work colleague with whom I very occasionally discuss politics earlier told me that he couldn't vote for Chimp again & would either stay home or vote for the Libertarian. I spoke to him again the other day and he told me that not only had he voted early, he had VOTED FOR KERRY.
Thats just one person, but if he is in any way indicative things don't look good for Chimp. The fanatics and fascists will vote for him but alone they are not enough, especially if moderate Repubs aren't voting for him and Dems get a massive turnout.

8. When I went to vote..... |
|
I only saw one B/C sticker compared to a whole lot of K/E stickers. Plus, the day I went, there were many senior citizens there. I'm glad to see they know the issues this year and taking action.

5. I lived in Kansas for a while |
|
and I am pleasantly shocked by your post. Kansas, even more than OK, has been THE most red state in the USA for some time. Who was it that recently wrote the book "What's The Matter With Kansas?" Thanks for the good news.

This is democracy.
We waited 4 years for our legal opportunity and then took it.
We're something else.
