Meet the Press for me tomorrow, and tell me what Bob Kerrey says? I hope he kicks ass! (Don't bother telling me what Rudy Guiliani says ... his 15 minutes are UP!). I'm doing campaign stuff, and wouldn't watch (for the sake of my sanity) even if I weren't.

Thanks!

1. What? And be an enabler?
You have taken the first step to less stress. I highly commend you.

2. Is it really a "swearing-off" if you get the reports secondhand?
I mean, wouldn't it be better to form your own conclusions?

4. I am sick of these shows

You know how mutual funds are required to provide performance data? I think all these talking heads should have performance data compiled for all of them. The pollsters too. Analagous to MediaMatters, but focused entirely on an assessment of the individual's accuracy. Maybe it could be kept in Wikipedia.

These people are nothing more than political hacks, as Jon Stewart says, mouthpieces for political points of view. Why can't they use these shows to actually find the truth. Stewart was right: they are professional wrestling, not sport.

5. b-b-b-but ...
when I swore off the pundit shows, I didn't know they'd have BOB KERREY on! I love him!

When I was an adolescent, I gave up "Dark Shadows" for Lent (I'm serious ... it was the greatest sacrifice my addled little Catholic brain could conceive). They canceled "Dark Shadows" on Good Friday.

And I DIDN'T give in to temptation and watch it. But I let my next-door neighbor tell me what happened.

Have pity! I am weak!
