But seriously, how many of us would have been outraged if he said it about that drugged up stepford wife? I was beaten by my ex husband, that was when I decided to never be with a man again and have been exclusively with women since, women can be emotionally abusive, but I've never experienced physical abuse or intimidation with another woman... not to say a nice spank on the bumm hasn;t been enjoyed.
Anybody have an email address to send a nasty complaint message to? Maybe if we flood them now they will apologize by the end of the show!

of or denigrate your situation in any way, but I really don't think having a character playing Osama Bin Laden saying he would beat his wife is advocating domestic abuse. Bin Laden is perhaps the most evil man of earth not someone any reasonable person would choose to emulate. I think it just wasn't funny.

Go fuck yourself
Two, I've been watching the show since it STARTED. I've watched it since the Wolverines sketch, okay. I would put my knowledge of the show up there with ANYONE. I know its history quite well, thank you.
Anyone who understands the show, and clearly many here, INCLUDING YOURSELF do not, know the show is like a sports team. Some years you have good talent and the team is very good. And some years, you don't have as much talent and the show isn't very good i.e. the Athony Michael Hall-Robert Downey Jr. year.
But regardless, I rarely take it as a personal insult when it is not very good i.e. the Chris Farley era. You seem to take it personally, which is sick and frankly really fucking twisted.
Get over yourself, asshole!

Man, those were the days of insanely great comedy. People would leave the bars at 11:00PM on Saturday just so they'd catch the show. It truely was "must see TV" back in the old days.
PS - I actually got to see most of the original cast members in the National Lampoon Radio Show that was playing at the New Palladium in NYC before they went "live". I think that was in '75.

very bad years. The people who say it hasn't been good since the 70s haven't watched it since the 70s. So how would they know? I know they haven't watched it since the 70s because to say that the, Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey, Jon, Lovit, Mike Myers, Will Ferrill, Cheri Oteri, Chris Kattan, Molly Shannon years sucked, is not true. Those were some great cast members and some great years. However, all the other years that didn't include these cast members, sucked to me. :P

I mean the part when in front of the mirror to the Door's "The End" had me howling. And Bush saying only "mixed messages", "fuzzy math", "9/11". That one was a keeper and in the grand tradition of SNL.

so you've never heard a good dead baby joke? laughing at something does not mean you condone it. to imply that they crossed some sort of a line here is really to support censorship. you should join the micheal powell fan club or purchase clearchannel or sinclair stock if that is your position. in addition, i know this may come as a shock to many here, but from the people i talk to, theresa is THE single biggest liability on the kerry ticket. it seems that every point that i make for kerry to undecided/apolitical voters is countered with "yeah, but what do you think about his wife". if you have a such a thin skin for criticism of her, you are going to be in for a long 8 years. it is a good thing that we are not voting for first lady- we would be losing BIG! i have not spoken to a single non-liberal who liked her at all.

ARE YOU F***ING NUTS??? If there was ever a line it was crossed tonight just because someone says something offensive in the form of a joke doesnt make it funny! If they made a simular "joke" about an african american, jewish or gay person I don't think any of us would be laughing women should not be fair game either.

Would you feel the same way if bush was the subject of the joke? We can laugh because we know that no one is seriously advocating beating up THK. It was a joke.

This is where liberalism goes wrong.
Come on people -- it was OSAMA BIN LADEN who said this in the skit. It wasn't John Kerry. It was the #1 terrorist in the world, the #1 enemy of America, the guy George W Bush failed to catch.
It's a shame that extreme political correctness blocks your ability to laugh at an SNL skit about Osama Frickin Bin Laden..
