There was a big article in the Kansas City Star several weeks ago about that problem here. Most poll workers are about 75 and have been doing it for twenty years or so. They're dying off, and younger people aren't stepping up to do the job. One huge problem is that they want you to work the entire day, which is a 12 hour shift for the most part.
I wonder how long it will take to get everyone voted on Tuesday, even with the enormous advance turn out.
