1. They got the 87 billion questions for Bush where the fuck is the armored
vehicles? Don't tell me Delay and your other friends are building fucking buildings and shit in their home districts. I'm sure Mccain will shed some light on this.

2. The Oregon guard leader can barely speak.
It is killing him that his men are dying without the armor.

20. The look on that guy's face--
it seemed to me like he truly wanted to say more but knew it wasn't good for him if he did, you know? I felt for him and anybody else who is up close and personal with this situation.

7. You can tell this is a struggle for him. He wants to tell the truth but
has to worry about his job. I admire him because it looks like the truth is winning! I hope he doesn't suffer for it.

26. Actually the "brown snake" issue is a serious one: ask our DUers from
Guam, certain areas of Indonesia, Soloman Islands, northern and Easter Australia. Hawaii is and has been snake-free, but this particular snake that is now ubiquitous throughout Guam and other areas of the Pacific come in on airplanes and cargo ships. If they reproduce, they will wreak havoc in Hawaii-- not only a moderate health risk to humans (mildly venomous), but they constantly short out electric grids and cause major delays to planes coming and going, due to the need for intense inspection of cargo holds and wheel wells... Since 1978 they have caused more than 1200 costly power outages in Guam, where at least focal blackouts occur every 3-4 days. Not to mention the devastation of native Hawaii wildlife: these snakes have eliminated all native birds in Guam. A side effect of this has been a dramatic increase in mosquitos and other disease-causing insect vectors, including those carrying Dengue, since birds are not around to eat the insects. Similarly, the overhwhelming increase in insects has severely impacted agriculture. While only small children are really at risk of severe effects/rarely death from bite, the constant presence of these snakes has devastated the tourist industry in the Soloman Islands, Guam and other areas where it has taken over. For that to happen to Hawaii would be overwhelming. It really is a very aggressive snake and one which has cause a very serious problem. Sadly, like other issues, the press doesn't bother to look at the issue.

I lived a short time on Guam and have also visited other areas of the Pacific where these snakes have invaded. They are truly a menace.

18. It's happening because there was no planning
I was deployed to Kuwait during the build-up. We're Air Force and were not allowed to give them very much equipment. We had about 25 radios set aside, but it doesn't go very far when you have 1000s of troops getting ready to go to Iraq. Some did bring their own, but ours were much better. It's amazing what we got and what they ,the Army had to put up with. We had beds with real mattresses, they were lucky to get a desert tent.
