He hasn't a clue of what's happening in this country. That's what happens when your government is too secretive, you surround yourself with yes men, you don't go out and mix with the real people, all of your campaign stops are attended by people who sign loyalty oaths and you don't read newspapers or magazines because you're an intellectually lazy twit. He doesn't have a clue. Well he's about to get a clue, by Tuesday night he'll realize what the situation is in this country. They probably won't tell him. He'll just keep going on like nothings happened, just like the rest of his term in office. On January 20, they'll have to physically remove him from the White House and he won't know a thing about it.

Brokaw being summarily dismissed by the King moves on to the next question:

Brokaw : Win or lose, the polls show that America does not like the current direction of the country and wants a change?

King Bush : I don't think America wants a change in economic policies. My policies are working. If America wants a change in Social Security, then that's what they will get.

Either utterly clueless or blindly arrogant or both.

But Brokaw accepted it as cooly as a spoon-fed baby.
