My mom voted for Kerry but she thinks that GOD is working this |
|
and GOD has put the boy king in charge for a reason.
I REFUSE TO THINK THAT GOD WANTED * IN CHARGE SO HE COULD SPEW HATE & INTOLERANCE
If GOD did to this then I don't know if I can Believe any more.

1. Actually, I can agree with your mom. |

I think there IS a reason he has been able to stay in power. Unfortunately, the reason is very bad. Terrible things may have to happen to shake this country from its' delusions, maybe that's why he's here?

13. hey, I had a step father that was one of the nasty's people |
|
around. I would say good morning, he would tell me to *uck myself. have friends over he would go out of his way to call each and everyone of us a *ussy, and anything that he could get out.
now the guy is 70 with a kid by a crack head living in a house (my child hood home, breaks my heart everytime I see it) that is over run by cockroaches. still trys to tell everybody how smart he is, but it's a little hard to sell when you're basically homeless.
so yes, I believe in god, and he does everything for a reason, we might not like it now, but you never know what is around the corner.

I'd always hoped that God would be a better HR manager.

managing money. I mean, everytime I turn the TV on some evangelical nut is asking for more money, so it's not a leap to assume he/she is not very good at HR either.

II still wonder. Is there a higher purpose being served here that we just can't see, yet? I would be interested in hearing more of your mom's thoughts on this...

I won't give the church another dime and help bring about the destruction of my country. If they can't keep out of our government, they can go swing. I'm not giving them a single cent. Actually, I never did give them a cent, but my wife did, but not anymore.

Religion has done much to worsen our lot and it feeds on fear. If the only way you can believe in God is through the fear of damnation, you don't think much of yourself.

thank-you-very-much!
Give me a different god, please. One that is compassionate. One that cares about the suffering, one that is non-violent, one that cares about the environment, one that understands that it is harder for a rich man to make it to heavan etc...
I don't like their god. He's an ass.

Taking an old testament approach here:
Maybe God gave the american people a choice. You can either change course or continue to go the same way and reap what you sow. God supposedly did that alot in the so-called Old Testament.
Half of the american people chose to go the same way and now God will just let everything go to hell in a handbasket until they wake up. Unfortunately, the rest of us have to suffer with the bush supporters.
If there is a God, I always figured God gave people choices. Do what's right or do the wrong thing and suffer the consequences. (Right or wrong meaning how you treat other people) I never believed God was going around "making things happen", like putting Bush in the white house. Red america put that idiot in the white house and now God says, "You're screwed."
