Too many posts here attack Democratic values

Why are people blaming gays or prochoice women or antigun people for the defeat? The defeat came at the hands of racists, homophobes, sexists, and neurotics who hide behind the cloak or religion. The defeat came because we showed too much respect for people who claim to believe in God, but all they believe is their own kind. These fundies are an unAmerican lot, with a heritage rooted deeply in the murder of American Indians, the enslavement of blacks, the belittling of gays, and the disrespect for women. No wonder Bush carried the south. He carried it because the remnants of prejudice are still strong there. Even if we lose elections, we have to fight for civil rights. That's why most of us are Democrats.
