IT'S CATHOLICS STUPID
I'm too tired to write on and on about this, maybe I will later. We lost the Catholic vote and we should get that vote. Catholics tend to be more educated and open-minded (yes there are exceptions). The priest also does not have the same kind of control that a minister does in other Protestant churches. Often a minister IS the church. At Catholic churches, priests have to change every six years to mix it up to avoid having a church become a single priests' church. Catholics use to vote for us in huge numbers. We lose them in this election. I suggest that Catholics are much more likely to vote for us than these evangelicals we keep talking about.

HERE IS A LIBERAL CATHOLIC GROUP WEB SITE:
http://www.cta-usa.org/

People should check it out, especially Catholics and former Catholics. We MUST get out country back!

1. It is a good place to start

My Catholicisn was all about tolerance and respect for others, inlcuding the rights of women to make their own health decisions.
In the 70's abortion was talked about as sex education- not license to harrass and physically threat people.
Killing and needless war were antithetical to it what I was taught.

Kerry might have played this up a bit more.

3. Anecdotal evidence against
I've got a whole tribe of Catholic family in rural west Ohio (county bordering permanently red Indiana). Every single one of them voted Repuke. Their French ancestry means nothing to them; I'm talking freedom-fried here.

I want you to know that they are as susceptible as any Protestant evangelical to the 'puke mantra of terra, taxes and queers.

Totally unsalvagable.
