You know, maybe we should start rethinking the whole "slavery" thing.
Us liberals have been on the wrong side of that issue for SO long. You know, I bet if we came out in support of slavery we'd earn big points with Joe Six-Pack in Mississippi.

We can't move the party with THAT ball and chain, can we?

8. Yeah, seriously. Plus, SO MANY women voted for Bush.
We can't have that.

Let's get rid of that one. Or, hell, maybe Bush will do it for us and we won't have to worry about it. But we sure can cheer him on from the sidelines!

5. We did rethink it, after it got shoved down our throats at gunpoint
by Republicans because we refused to compromise our ideals for a pragmatic solution that was better for everyone involved.

by "we" I mean the Democratic party.

Sound familiar?

Either we learn when and where its good to fight, or we get things dictated to us at the point of a gun.

Chief Justice Anthony Scalia is a PRETTY BIG FUCKING GUN.

11. What, so now we're going to be the bigots?
If that's the case, I'm DEFINITELY leaving the party. I don't stand for that shit.

12. We dont have to be bigots
We DO need to get enough votes to carry a few states in the South and Midwest and rockies.

Either we do that, or we can be very happy about not being bigots while bigotry is shoved down our throats at gunpoint.

Then we're all very principled slaves.

Nope, then we're free.
We need to fight this. This is at the core of America. We're not going back to the days of segregation.

22. We already ARE going back to the days of segregation.
because if you haven't noticed, the democratic party just got marginalized into a regional party. We got pushed out of a huge expanse of America because we gave up on it, told a whole bunch of people there they were rednecks, racists, bigots and all the rest. They told us to go fuck ourselves, and alinged with REAL racists and bigots because while we were looking down their noses at them, the Republicans were reaching out to them.

I don't want to have free thoughts while working for the slave master doing his bidding.

THATS WHY I'M A DEMOCRAT.

28. Do you have any idea how much trhe green party supports your idea.
I can see how this will unfold. Maybe it's for the best. There will be three parties. One of wishy wash flip floppers, one of progressive socialists and the Nazi's.

23. It's not as funny as you may think
Remember the changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act implemented this summer? That an employer can classify a job in such a way you cannot be eligible for overtime pay? True, Congress attempted to put the kibosh on some of it, but now that Bush has confirmation for a second term, he will probably finish where he left off.
