Kerry snaps up undecideds
Kerry is drawing overflow crowds that include many voters who waited until now to make up their minds. At a stop in Decorah, campaign workers expecting 120 people had to change locations when more than 650 showed up.

<snip>

Money and support are streaming in. Last week, as polls showed Kerry gaining, the amount of campaign contributions increased by 40% over the average for December. Only 38 out-of-state volunteers were here late last month. More than 1,000 had arrived by Sunday, double the number the campaign expected.

<snip>

Kerty Levy, 37, a San Francisco business development consultant who moved to Urbandale a year ago, was "completely impressed" by Kerry at a stop here Saturday. She plans to caucus for him tonight. While she likes Dean's positions, she worried that he's "not proven" on protecting the environment and is "a beginner" on foreign policy.

<snip>

"Undecideds are breaking Kerry's way," says Donna Brazile, a veteran Democratic strategist. Until recently, "people couldn't hear his voice, in part because of chatter (about) other candidates." Kerry will need more than momentum to win. Although he has 120 paid staff members here, about the same as Dean and Gephardt, those candidates have formidable organizations to get their supporters to caucuses. "We do not in any way underestimate what we are up against," Cahill says.

4. I liked reading the news
about 1000 out of state volunteers -- double what they expected. We've heard so much about about Dean's out of state volunteers and I knew Kerry had an effort like that as well - the Kerry Travelers.

3. "campaign contributions increased by 40% over the average for December."
Is that like the 40% "tax cut" Bush gave to all workers he's unemployed?

6. Well, at least it makes more sense than the
fuzzy math used trying to explain how even though Dean had gone down 5 and Kerry up 6 in 3 days, Dean was trending higher and Kerry was losing ground. I am still laughing over that one.

8. Don't get too excited...
The undecideds that say they have just decided on Kerry can easily change their mind in caucus tomorrow night.

Also, I think it's fitting that the voters who can't make up their minds seem to be gravitating to a candidate that has a hard time making up his mind on Iraq.
