Exactly how many editions of exit polls were there? |
|
I see people referring to 2pm and 4pm exit polls, and I imagine that the accuracy of those polls would get better and better to the actual vote tally by the end of the day.
How often did Edison/Mitofsky release new exit poll data? And the numbers that are flying around here at DU- how late in the day are those poll numbers?
If we're going to point to voting discrepancies relative to exit poll numbers, I think we all have to agree on the same exit poll numbers to cite. That 2pm Pennsylvania exit poll (Kerry 60, Bush 40) is not something I'd want to base my argument on.

They told me they only release their data to the people that paid for it. Which is remarkable given that so many blogs that DIDN'T pay for the data seemed to have gotten it on election day.
