Oppose the FMA Act and let the states decide on gay marriage |
|
That's my stance on gay marriage. The federal government has never regulated marriage. It's a state by state issue. Therefore, we should not amend the constitution either way or write federal law in favor of such legislation either way. The states can decide on who can get married.

Push to add an amendment to prohibit divorce except for adultery (hey, go for no divorce under any circumstances). Marriage is sacred. Divorce is the most harmful thing to children and the institution itself. If people knew they couldn't divorce, they'd work harder at their marriages. People won't rush into marriage if they know it is for life (no more Brittany Spears, that FOX marriage game show). So what if a few people get hurt/suffer, overall the country will be stronger when husbands and wives stay together.
Push 'em to the logical but wildly (beyond belief) unpopular endpoints of their positions. Push 'em to the right, way right.
Can you say poison pill? Make 'em eat it.
