We should talk about terrorism (securing our ports etc) when Bush tries to |
|
cut taxes for his rich buddies. Bush's first priority is going to be tax cut giveaways for the rich.
Think about it:
"Mr. President, the voters of this country expect you to make keeping our country safe, not keeping your friends rich, your #1 priority. You have allowed yourself to become distracted from the great danger facing our country. We consider the issue of terrorism and national security--keeping our children safe--are the most urgent and important facing this nation. We urge you to join us."

2. Of course Bush will respond, but they don't have magic wands. |

Bush's popularity depends on his handling of the war on terra.
The Dems need to establish their bona fides as taking terrorism seriously, and take a few shots at him.
The real fight is for 2006 and 2008. Bush, in a sense, is already a past concern at this point.

DUers? Democrats? You surely don't expect anyone in Washington is going to say this and even if they did, would it be on the news?
I don't think so.
"We" are voiceless and unrepresented.

Having some discipline while trying to stick it to the Rethugs would be nice.
