Things the Democratic party can do without |
|
The Terry McAullife-types at DNC. They have failed us miserably, and can't be trusted to do anything right. I understand McAullife himself is leaving at the end of this term. Why he wasn't let go after the midterm election trainwreck is beyond me. And it was this black-tie fundraising upper-crust that betrayed us with supporting NAFTA, oursourcing, etc.
The "burn-baby-burn" types who want to fashion the party as the White Panthers and Stonewall activist party.
The "we should outRepublican the Republican" folk. Many of us, if not most of us, attend church just like the evangelicals. Agreed, we should remind the rest of the country that we have faith, too. But we should also remind the rest of the country that we are the party of Jefferson: we abhore the shoving of religion down people's throats, as well as the mixing of religion and the government.
The "You're abandoning our principles!" crowd. I think we're all smart enough and adult enough to figure out a solution to our dilemma in a way that we can all be satisfied with. There is always a way.
Here's to hard work, planning, and victory -- the rescuing of America!
