I want to fight
I am one of the most mild-mannered people you will ever come across. But right now, I'm pissed off.

I'm pissed that we have a nominee for Attorney General who basically laid the legal groundwork for torture, and nobody but people like us ever mention that.

I'm pissed that we have hours and hours of television coverage on the Scott Peterson trial, but nothing on the fact that 100,000 Iraqi people have been killed since this "war" began.

I'm pissed that -- regardless of your view on the election fraud -- that people in areas populated by minorities had to wait hours and hours to vote, but the people in their 5 mpg Hummers get to cruise right in and pull the lever.

I'm pissed that a woman's right to choose is THIS CLOSE to being obliterated (and I'm a guy).

I'm pissed that everything FDR, Harry Truman, JFK, and LBJ ever fought for is being torn apart. Hell, even Nixon's legacy is trashed.

I don't care how much time and money it costs me, I am going to volunteer everything I have to fix this. Period.

I feel like you're reading my mind. Always remember, we're right, they're wrong. We will prevail.

5. I'm right there with you, dude.
I'm attending a New College student meeting tomorrow night to discuss ideas about the election fraud.

I will attend any meeting that brings me in contact with people who are as enraged as I am.

8. I admire your "fight"
This whole turn of events since the election has forced me to ask myself some serious questions. My coworker and i talked about it today. How far would I go to resist the loss of democracy in my country? How much am I really willing to sacrifice to fight the new American theocratic militarism that seeks empire and conquest? If, for example, I were at some point asked to take a loyalty oath of some kind in exchange for services, employment or liberty -- what would I do? And even further, how much am I willing to risk for those who will be undoubtedly more oppressed than I may be (e.g. gays, Muslims, blacks, and the mushrooming wage-slave underclass)?

What and how much am i willing to give? Honestly, i just don't know.

Do you think this might become one of those "times that try men's souls"?
