Where is Al Gore? Always though his endorsement of Dean was bad for |
|
Dean who ran as an outsider. The Al Gore endorsement set of a series of insider endorsements that have crippled the Dean campaign and displayed Dean as a candidate that has the support of the big Democratic insider.

2. The largest group of Democratic insiders |
|
goes by the initials DLC.
They like Kerry, Lieberman and Edwards.
Any of them will follow the DLC lead by governing further to the right That was what worked for Clinton and they see no reason to change that strategy.

3. Not to mention the superdelegates |
|
which had been some people's nighmare scenario, a la Gary Hart in 1984.
Any disadvantage that insider endorsements might bring to the Dean campaign will be more than offset by innoculating it against a wholesale coup in the event that the nomination isn't settled by the end of March.

I may not be supporting Dean, but I don't like to see any candidates supporters attacking him. The only way you can call him a party insider is if you ignore everything that has happened in the last 3 years. I was a member of the Gore2004 draft Gore movement and I am sorry he is not running.

5. I had a thread addressing this subject last night |
|
But yeah, I think Dean's insider support is hurting his insurgent image....voters don't like being told who will win.
