New Donkey blog manages to insult Dean supporters AND the DNC.
Edited on Sat Nov-13-04 03:59 PM by madfloridian
This is probably one of the nastiest, most mean-spirited articles I have read from the DLC bunch.

I have always been respected where I live. My family were and are respected members of the church and civic community. I am a moderate, always have been. By that I mean that I have always been tolerant and understanding of opposing views.

Until the Iraq War, I really did not have big issues with the party. Then I made calls about the war vote, and I realized the minds were closed. The minds were made up. They did not care what I thought.

I changed that day, and I began to question this party. I have not stopped. Fallujah is happening today because of the influence of this wing of the party, and I am getting more suspicious.

If you stand for nothing for a long time, then you will become what you stand for....nothing.

I am just going to post the link, but I feel it even insults the DNC.

ON EDIT: I don't care about the chair of DNC. I care about what we stand for.

And *some of* a certain candidate's supporters. How nasty they were, and sometimes still are, at the very mention of Dean. The only question remaining is: Will they break out the sock puppets again?

;-)

3. It just makes me ill, and I have always been a Democrat.
The tone is similiar, Julie, you are right. I just feel sick inside.....I can not believe how they have twisted Dean and his supporters into such a fringe group.

I am tired, and I feel sickened. Does Marshall Wittmann write that blog? Or is it Will Marshall?

I feel sick.

4. No, not really.
An RNC blog would mention Hillary and Bill, call Kerry a traitor, and other nonsense. Actually, this is like a Libertarian blog criticizing the Bush administration.

What I cannot understand is the complaining about DNC members endorsing Dean. So what?

7. That's just one sounds like one jealous guy's opinion. I never even
heard of that website before.
You've got to know that there are other canidates out there with their supporters and there should be disscussion in here too of other canidates.
I happen to think Dean is the spark we need. If this site doesn't it doesn't hurt my feelings.
It's so early in the process, you could be the next chair of the DNC.

WE ALL feel let down I think this is your last straw moment.Let it out and we'll still be here waiting for your posts.

10. It is part of the DLC, not DNC.
There is a difference in ideology, but not that much.

12. Sway me?
Edited on Sat Nov-13-04 06:02 PM by Julien Sorel
How about quoting something, anything, from that post that makes it "one of the nastiest, most mean-spirited articles I have read from the DLC bunch," as you put it? If it was so awful, so vicious, it shouldn't be hard to find a sentence, or at the least, a paragraph, that a normal, rational person would consider insulting, should it?

By the way, it is largely because you, and a vocal segment of your fellow travelers, can read something like that post and break out into an orgy of outrage that "swaying" me isn't going to happen. Neither will you "sway" anyone else who read it looking for "one of the nastiest, most mean-spirited articles." They will, however, likely join me in drawing certain conclusions about those who can.

13. When the DLC/DNC members post at DU, they do the same thing
Everyone who does not appease a centrist attitude is part of the looney left to them and are beneath their contempt.

They are floor mats to lobbiests and are only out for money and personal gain.
