Christmas Shopping soon? Top Retail Campaign Contributors

This does not post how it is set up on the page. The first number you see, i.e. Wal-Mart's 1,875,557 obviously is their total contribution. The FIRST number after that, the 19%, that's the total donated to Democrats. Second number is the percent donated to Repukes. Shop accordingly!
Sorry if this is in the wrong area. I'm not a "donating member" yet so I can't put it under economics. I just gave to blackboxvoting and Free Speech TV, am a little short on cash this month!

6. I don't have a COSTCO! Wah! Wah!
There is one maybe 50 miles from here? I have to chuckle as my friend at work just shopped there the other day. Spent a bunch of money there and he's a big Bush supporter. LOL~ :) I didn't have the heart or inclination to tell him!

I've already had to school my 11 year old daughter on the evils of WalMart. She's gonna be a rebel just like her mom in a few years, I'm afraid.

Yup, I can shop for books and towels and stuff, works for me!! We have to support those who support us!

15. I've been buying online! Their prices are very good
You have to buy a one-time membership ($45) which is good for one year.

I just want to support something who doesn't give all of their money to the frickin' GOP.

8. Hard Rock Cafe for Christmas Dinner!
Stay out of Red Lobster and Olive Garden (Darden Restaurants -- they and Victoria's Secret/Limited and other companies gave so much to the Rethugs that Bush put them on one of his trade boards.

Here are the food & beverage contributions from opensecrets, with the percentage to the dems first, rethugs second. YUM brands, BTW, are Pizza Slut, Taco Hell, KFC, Long John Silver's et al.

Stay out of Micky D's, Outback Steakhouse and Wendy's, too!

13. Still shopping at Target, but not at Limited or Gap
Screw the donations, sorry.

But in these 3 cases, Target is a responsible employer while The Limited and Gap are sweatshop clearing houses.

19. I already spend my money at Dem friendly businesses
Haven't eaten at McDonald's, Outback, Arby's, Taco Bell (both Pepsico chains) since I found out who the contribute to.

Don't shop at Wal-Mart any more.

Payed off my Home Depot card and don't shop there any more.

Always shop at Barnes and Nobles and Borders and Amazon, all Dem supporters.

Changing my bank next week from Wachovia to a credit union that gave 85% of their contributions to Dems.

Giving up on Sears, Penneys, and Target now.

I'll research who I buy from and if they support the GOP, they don't get my money.
