2. Man, I'm looking at the Green Party more and more. I need a party that |
|
stands up for it's principles and doesn't become a GOP-lite at the first sign of a fight.

3. Same here...reading today's paper looked like the Dem party was moving |
|
to the middle on everything....Right below a description of Harry Reid (and his being a Mormon who is Pro-life) was an article about Diane Feinstein and how she is a "moderate"....
I have already decided to switch party affiliation to the Greens in protest to the Dems. I've already written them and told them they are forgetting their "base" and that there can be no compromising of key issues such as a woman's right to choice, civil liberties, health care, the environment etc.

One talking head described him as the best choice -- because he knows the "rules" and knows how to use them. Talking head went on further to say that Reid is not one that performs well in front of cameras (press conferences etc.) -- but if Dems just want a "pretty face" on the news then they best look elsewhere
DUer's comments are on the other extreme -- saying Reid will roll over and play dead for repugs at the drop of a "cookie"
My limited research leads me to sit on the fence with Reid -- in some instances he has rolled over and played dead, in other he's used the rules to fight back and won.
Could go either way -- so I'm on the wait'n-see fence
One thing I do believe -- if Dems don't stand up for themselves NOW -- then why should I believe they will stand up for us at a later date?
