I'd missed it before.

His speech itself isn't touching me particularly. In fact, I'm barely listening to the words. Even so, I'm sitting here bawling.

Damn it!

1. yeah
It's a downer. It makes me sad that he looks so unhappy, though I can totally understand it.

3. How did I get so damned attached to these people
I guess your first love is special, even if it's political.

He just talked about Kerry, and that portion sounded esp. heartfelt. I appreciated that.

I pray for Elizabeth. I see she's in People Magazine this week. Bless her heart, she's such a strong, wise woman. Sometimes I think she'd make a good president in her own right. She is at the very least an excellent speaker. Better than the mister in some ways.

2. Just watched Tom Daschle
That really made me sad...

Edwards chose not to run again, so it's not sad.

Daschle obviously loved the Senate, & got thrown out...that is harsh!

4. Endings are always sad to me
He gave up his seat, hoping to have a new job at the end of it all. I'm sure this wasn't in the plan.

I have no emotional connection to Daschle, but it will be sad as hell if Reid turns out to be lousy.
