Sumner Redstone threw Dan Rather overboard, but he'll still be crushed |
|
The administration will not tolerate Redstone's treasonous stances, and even if he kisses and makes good, the Bushies will have his head, too.

2. Ask around; how are you sure that's not already happening? |
|
Darkness looms on the horizon; those who can still speak need to.
Redstone has shown himself to have the foolish prudence of the smart and successful: they are ill-equipped when fighting against irrational faith-based thugs.
Redstone has backed off out of hopes that the FCC will further loosen restrictions on ownership, but he doesn't get it. He simply doesn't get it. He will be destroyed by this mob, and everything he does to mollify them will only hasten his demise and help the forces of hate.
Harken back to the immortal words of Frank Zappa: "It can't happen here..."

4. Maybe independently Rather will be able to cover the Fraud story? |
|
The press release I read said that Rather will continue to do contributing articles and news pieces.
On staff at CBS, Rather couldn't have handled the Fraud story properly. Perhaps as an 'independent' journalist though, he might be exactly the journalist needed to head up the Fraud story (not at CBS, but elsewhere). He certainly would have the motivation!

5. Nice little body you got there; wouldn't want to see it burn to the ground |

would you?
Any parachute he's being offered is premised upon strict obedience.
That's STRICT obedience.
He's a truly honorable man, though, and perhaps he'll break free and stick to his guns. I hold out no hope for this, though, because he has family. When they threaten your family, even very noble people buckle.
Whistling in the woods, many are unaware of just what greedy, unscrupulous, murderous monarchists this group of thugs is.
