Bush is worried about something
... not that i really care, or that it really matters either way

but, something's eating at him.

it's been pronounced since he 'won' the election.

i saw it again really pronounced today with the video coming out of canada.

ya know, it's like he's there, but he's not there. something's on his mind.

admittedly, i'm particularly perceptive on things like this, but to me, his behaviour couldn't be any more obvious.

like i said, it doesn't really matter either way -- because we're stuck with the disaster that four more years of him will bring, BUT, it's still hard not to speculate about what he knows... or is scared is coming out.

very tired, and distressed, and worried. I've been noticing it in all the pictures of him since the election.

When's he going in for that physical, anyway?

Yeah, when?
I think he knows he didn't win the election (he probably really believed Karen Hugeshoes when she initially told him that) and he's worried that somehow that fact will come out and then -- what will he do? Cheney and co. won't let him quit, and he'll be exposed as a fraud. If he thought the last 4 years were hard -- claims of illegitimacy after 2000 -- the next 4 will be worse once it's PROVEN he didn't win the electoral vote.

That's what I saw. He looks pensive because he's waiting for them to feed him his lines. Watch that PC again. He speaks. Looks down & waits. Then speaks, sometimes mangling words as he's not quite sure what he's saying but just parroting.

Would the Canadian press please ask about the earbug?

12. I see just the opposite...
...It appears to me that Bush now believes he is God's righthand man.

Talk about hubris. The guy is marching around, yammering on about all this political capital he supposedly has, as if he'd won 75% of the vote rather than the slim majority he got.

I see nothing that indicates he is worried, or that anything at all is eating at him. And no, he is not worried about election fraud being exposed or that somehow he might not be inaugurated in January - he knows full well that he has 4 more years to embarass us.

The pendulum always swings though, and the tide will turn against the GOP. Look for the Dem's to make sizable gains in 2006 as the 6 year itch sets in.

Now he acts as if the world has voted him Most Smartest. He is less defensive but more affected. Less chip on his shoulder, more God Elected Me. The guy is a Shakespearean tragic hero. He desperately wants to believe his own press, but he knows it isn't true. Nevertheless he tries to act the part.

medication, and has been suffering from dementia. Remember on the third debate the left side of his face was kinda droopy and drool was visible in the corner of his mouth. He hasn't taken that physical yet, postponed because of the election they say and there is more, or so they say.

If you ask me, he's a unstable, megalomaniac, paranoid-schizoid-nut case. And with that and being the president of this great nation you have a very dangerous mix.

But that's just my opinion.

25. You could be right.
I've noticed one thing about Bush: whenever he travels, he looks like crap. And since we're so much in love with him here, we get to see all these photos of George's Travels! I saw photos of him in England. Another trip to Paris to visit his best friend Jacques Chirac. Even one photo from Hawaii. Quite a scrapbook, there.

Most of the time, he looks really strange. His eyes become very swollen, puffy on the top and bottom. His face looks pale, and he often looks disoriented, as if he wants to say, "What planet am I on?"

Or, "stop the world, I want to get off". This tells me that, he's either

1) the princess on the pea, and he needs his blankie, and luvy-duvy pillow from his own widdow bed, or

2) he's on a high dosage of medication

3) they don't put so much makeup on the guy when he's out traveling, or he somehow ends up in more photos than while in the White House.

I've wondered about that too. I heard she has just had, or will have, an operation of some type - but it was supposed to be a very minor procedure.

From all accounts, Condi was set to be confirmed easily, so why delay it? Something stinks about this, I just have no idea what it might be.

Remember, for the last 4 years, and on the campaign trail, he's been protected from protestors, and those around him kiss his.....or anything else he asks. I'me quite sure he's not a happy camper seeing 5000+ people giving him the single finger salute, or a professional, but very cool reception by the PM of Canada.

Then of course, there's those 2 house members who are holding out on passing the Intel Bill, and Hastert won't even bring it up for a vote. This boy doesn't like disobedience, ya know.

34. If that is true then he'll implode sooner or later. . .
. . . Remember the insanity of King George of England during the 1770's. Well Shrub is certifiable I am certain and essentially he is very lazy. He hates to have to do things over and over, like picking new people for a second term and getting to know each of them again and getting them to understand his idiosyncrasies and what he doesn't like to do and so on. During his first term that was all being done for him and when he was inaugurated he went on vacation for six of his first nine months in office.

Cripes, he has to hang around this time and make sure that the elections are held in Iraq and he may have to go and order the bombing of Iran, or North Korea. During the debates he whined about all the work he had to do, this term promises to be even more work and I'm sure he would just like to go and party most of the time. Besides, the Dominionists are really breathing down his neck, they want a lot more righteousness displayed in the Great Babylon of Washington DC. That must be weighing a lot on Shrub's tiny mind!

In this film the leader of the pack brando steals a motorcycle trophy from the guy who won it and lashes it to the front of his cycle and parades around town as if he has accomplished something.

When he falls in love with a good honest girl, he feels the reality of his fraud as a person.

53. It's hard work running the world when everybody hates your
fucking guts. On top of that he has to remember to zip up his pants when hanging out in foreign countries....something about maintaining the dignitude of the office or somethin'.

He's in WAY over his head and he knows it. THAT realization is surely a bitch.

57. someone revealed to him that he is not in charge

And that a powerful corporation planted him in office. That's why his entire admin is resigning. They're making room for the new players.

Either that, or he's returned to drinking. I know what a hell addiction can be (I'm addicted to food).

63. You just gave me a scary thought
I've long had the idea that Cheney won't stick around for four years; Chimp will replace him with the person BushCo wants to run in 2008 in order to ooze him through any primary challenges, set him up as a hero, etc...

What if that happened, and then Chimp bowed out in time to let the new figurehead emerge as an even bigger hero and shoe-in for eight more years of neo-con catastrophes???

64. OH MY GOD- Can they do that?
Or... no. I mean. No. We still get an election for God's sake. We still get to run someone to oppose the guy.

65. Right, but that'd give them a huge headstart
in terms of a bully pulpit, an incumbent, framing the issues, etc...

And, it would keep any of the remaining sane Republicans from getting a fair shot at it.

That'd happen simply by appointing a new VP, but if the Chimp departed as well, they'd have the new ticket right there campaigning from the White House.

It's a crazy reach, but still... I wouldn't put anything past them!

75. I have noticed that too for several weeks!
Edited on Wed Dec-01-04 01:24 AM by Clarkie1
First time I've heard someone else mention it.

It's disconcerting a little. I have a feeling whatever is worrying him has nothing to to with the election, but national security.

He knows something we don't. Something's up.

I've also noticed Condi Rice looking particulary stressed lately, and Powell.

78. Condi said no more strap-on action
until after she's confirmed

and he's not sure he has the votes.

Plus, Unka Dick wants him to start working a couple of hours a day on Presdunt stuff instead of flying around schmoozing fundies and corporate bagmen.
