Zell Miller? Wellstone's memorial turned into something horrible?

On edit: Nevermind, he got banned. I thought that was really off.

10. Jan Schakowsky, Pete Stark, Dick Durbin, Barney Frank, Dennis Kucinich
Russ Feingold, Barbara Boxer...

Heroes, one and all.

I reserve special space for John Edwards, even considering the IRW because of his bravery on the subject of Class Warfare, predatory lending and similar points. Sadly, he's leaving the fold for parts unknown, but we've not seen the last of him.

Kennedy and Kerry also deserve some words of kindness...

My Rep's Xavier Becerra, and he's a good guy, too.

22. I especially agree with your Jan Schakowsky pick, Pure One...
I like EVERYTHING that I read from her or about her. Just wish I could spell her name without looking it up, cause I'd talk about her a lot more. (Just shows how inherently lazy I am...)

31. Her moment at the pre-war "town hall" meeting was especially fabulous
Did you catch that? It was 3 on 3 with Ted Koppel moderating, and she stood up from the audience as a common citizen, taking the warmongers to task.

Unfortunately, her husband had a tad of a legal problem recently, but that shouldn't crimp her future too much.

I want the House back in '06; we only have to flip something like 17 seats to do it...

I adore them both. And one of them just might be president in 2008!

edit to add I like Pelosi too, and Durbin in the Senate. I also really like Senator Conrad, he is very good in pointing out all the terrible economic policies of the GOP.

19. The ones I meet in the grocery line and on DU are better than all of these
A lot of good names mentioned on this thread-

But its the good-old DEMS on the ground that are the REAL deal- most of the DEM leaders are very ineffective and unwilling to fight oer even talk about Bush's corruption.

I'd like to see some of THOSE guys in leadership postions someday- folks who say what they mean instead of spin.

first and foremost

Second, Dennis Kucinich

Third, Bill Clinton -- but only mostly because he's just so much cooler than anyone the Republicans have -- and they hate him -- but there were some things about Clinton that I didn't like.

32. From you list, Dennis, Maxine, Cynthia, John and Barnie. Not Nancy
Boxer is fair, having made a number of mistakes and Feingold has one of the worst environmental ratings in the Senate. Kennedy is good.
