From his writings, McVeigh was very troubled by how the US was bombing and killing innocent Iraqis. He did then get more radicalized by the shootings in Montana as well as the Waco event.

I personally feel there are many new McVeigh's being created now. They were probably Bush supporters that believed that Saddam was responsible fo 911 and then saw how that was a lie. They saw how when they killed innocent people in Iraq that they were lied to about why they should kill these people.

Who knows what the next few years will bring in this country to set these returning soldiers off and freak out. It is going to happen and is inevitable. It's just a matter how and when they decide to explode.
