So, Did I Underestimate The Size Of The Protests In Canada Or What?
I've read that anywhere for 5-10,000 demonstrators showed up. I thought it'd be at least 100,000, or more??????

I would LOVE TO SEE THAT... It is sad to think that another country has beat us in a large protest. LOL... hopefully that will all change soon?

4. I estimate close to 40,000 on parliament hill
The crowd was by far larger than any I have ever seen at the Corel centre, Lansdown park or Parliament Hill (on Canada Day).

The area in the picture below ...(a snap of the "centre" crowd {left and right side are cut off}) covers approximately 500 * 700 feet. If each person occupies 3 feet squared, then 500*700/9 = 38,888 people.

Trust me it was nose-to-derriere most of the day... I wouln't be surprised if the Eye Institute at the Ottawa General Hospital had a flood of injuries to treat. "Hand me the forceps, Nurse ...I'm afraid we have another placard to extract!"

5. Given that Canadians had less than 2 weeks to organize...
the protest I think we Canadians did a hell of a good job and protest #2 will happen today in Halifax when the baby bush tries for more PR.
