Wayne Madsen writes again.
http://www.onlinejournal.com/Special_Reports/120104Madsen/120104madsen.html

December 1, 2004—Five Star Trust, the entity that, according to well-placed business and U.S. intelligence sources, is tied to the financing of a scheme to pay individuals posing as U.S. law enforcement and electronic voting machine technicians to rig the vote in favor of George W. Bush in at least four key states–Florida, Texas, Ohio, and California—represents a Byzantine network of offshore shell corporations and individuals tied to various Bush and Saudi-connected business enterprises.

Kevin Russell, a Nassau, Bahamas-based attorney representing Five Star Investments, Ltd., which maintains an office in Nassau and is the corporate entity that received a bank check for $29.6 million that was allegedly associated with paying vote rigging technicians, claims the check has not yet been cleared for payment. In addition, Five Star Investments claims the money has nothing to do with election scamming. Sources familiar with the vote rigging have reported that some of those involved in the operation balked when they were not paid the amount of money they were promised for their services and began revealing the nature of their roles.

1. I don't know what to think
His story has the veneer of authenticity but there's a lot of "sources close to", and "knowledgeable sources say" stuff in there that make me cautious......

2. As he stated in his "ask Wayne anything" thread here on DU,
Edited on Wed Dec-01-04 10:02 AM by in_cog_ni_to
he MUST keep his sources protected or they will be killed by the BFEE. I don't doubt for one second he is correct in that assumption. IF this story should break into the MSM, EVERYONE takes it on and we have another Watergate scandal perhaps his sources would feel protected enough to come forward. As someone stated in that thread..."we still have no clue who "Deepthroat" is. Right? :hi:

4. Is this something the CIA or FBI would or should investigate?
Or have all the good guys been co-opted or removed by Bush already?

6. If you cared to educate yourself beyond the cheap shots,
you would know Madsen claims his source was aboard the USS Kennedy in the Persian Gulf, that a strike on Iran was planned, but ruled unneccessary.

Madsen has military and intelligence contacts. He's not an oracle; he's an investigative journalist.

As "NVMojo" posted in this thread:

"....our nephew was on alert mid-oct. to ship off to Iran for a "classified" assignment with his group. Last week it was called off and they are headed for Iraq this week, again.

"So, this is the way things go, I've been a journalist. You break a story before it happens, you catch the thief before he steals, the thief corrects his before and changes strategy. Some journalists break these types of stories like the pre-election stike on Iran in hopes the outing stops the slaughter. I've seen this on a local level in papers that still let their reports break investigative pieces."
