2. My sister moved to Wisconsin about 2 years ago. She said
Wisconsin has like ZERO poor or disabled, because Thompson eradicated social help so extremely, they would simply DIE there.
Her next door neighbor's son was classified as requiring special educaiton last year, so the neighbors moved out of state because Wisconsin gives like NOTHING to special ed needs.

Is this what you have seen?

She said there are no homeless people, cause even getting a free meal from charities is like impossible.

3. That's a bit extreme
We still have homeless, mainly downtown that I've seen. We still have resources like the Salvation Army and various food pantries.

There are ways around the regulations. I know a woman who takes something like one class a semester, because as long as she's going to school, she can get help.

There's still the equivalent of food stamps. I think they used to use vouchers, but now they have a credit card type thing so that the benefit will be used soley on food. Doesn't work though, because people sell their cards on the street for cash.

There's still Medicaid for the children as far as I know.

Of course, I haven't had to use Wisconsin Works (W2 ie our welfare euphemism).

But no, I haven't noticed scores of dead homeless people laying about. Perhaps the city is propping them up to give the illusion of life.
