50. The absolute unfairness of it all makes me seethe
Those people are so morally bankrupt-- they're pathetic, they're shells, they're inhuman. They're so blinded by power they can't even see what they're doing. Or maybe it's worse than that-- maybe they just don't care.

Ted Kennedy is there also. and Kerry has attended many other funerals also. the media never mentioned that . but Kerry didn't do it for photo ops, he did it for the people and the soldiers which is why he will continue to do it no matter what.

36. Well you are cynical
And If you really knew Kerry you would know that he attends funerals for military men and women all the time and it sure as hell didn't just start since he has been running for president. What you are looking at in those pictures are real! This man does have a heart. He served this country to and respects all that do. And to even make such a remark is disgraceful.

53. Kerry
I obviously caused great offense, and for that I apologize. As to your comments: Of course I don't know Kerry personally. How could I? I'm a mere voter and volunteer. I don't doubt that he is a good man who cares deeply about soldiers. But he is also a politician, and I think it is very difficult to argue that his actions since Nov. 2, and here I am thinking of the issue of voting irregularities, have not been calculated to do what he thinks will preserve his chances to run again in 2008. This week, in fact, he has been meeting with New York campaign donors.
He is after all a politician, not a saint.

And Gore-- I think they're both class acts. Good, honest, decent men who would have made excellent presidents (had they only been allowed to take what was rightfully theirs).

23. we know Bush doesn't care for many reasons, lack of attending
funerals is just one of them.

many others include his joking about the dead soldiers dying for wmd that don't exist. his wanting to act as if there are no soldiers dying and never acknowledging those who have died.

his cutting the benefits of the soldiers.

27. What's the difference between Vietnam & Iraq?
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 10:00 PM by Dr Fate
Bush actually had a PLAN to get out of Vietnam.

Bush supports war as a 1st resort, yet refused to serve.

Bush vocally supported the war in Vietnam-but did all he could to avoid service. Unlike Kerry.

And dont give me any crap about Bush praying- he and his admin based this war on LIES-lies that anyone not kidding themselves were KNOWN to be deceptions- and now they are napalming non-combatants-over 1000 Amercian dead-based on Bush's lies. He is no Christian.

I never said Bush did not "care"- I said Kerry knows somthing about Combat- while most Republicans in office do not.

34. Bush Lacks Compassion
Edited on Thu Dec-02-04 10:43 PM by insane_cratic_gal
You see true compassion on Kerry's face while holding the mother?

Bush can never understand what it means to loose men to a pointless battle. Where they have to fight for one another's survival. He will never admit he's wrong. Never.

He can't seem to even comprehend, how insulting it is to dock a dead solider's pay, for the 2 weeks he layed in a morgue. that's right 2 weeks subtracted from your last check for dying for your "country?" )thought i'd put into Dipshit lingo. For soveintry over another country is more like. A very Rich venture I might add.

Since Kerry has seen men die at his feet, where the phrase "i got your back" means you live to fight another day. Someone who understands the horror of needless war. A little hug to show that you still matter in this world full of warmongers means a hell of alot to military familes.

it symbolizes that some people truly care about those who have sacrificed their lives for no damn good reason.

It's heart warming to see, yet when I think of decomposing bodies in Falujja being devoured by dogs. . .oh never mind.

Sorry, but the enormity and the hypocricy of this conflict just gets to me sometimes.

Another senseless death for a senseless reason.

But I'm glad Cheney's richer for it.
