1. Since I am talking about jobs . . .
Internship Opportunities

The Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) has three openings for paid internship opportunity ($9 and hour) one in our Communications Department in our D.C. office. These positions are an excellent opportunity for someone who is meticulous and hard-working to become immersed in communications for a successful and good-sized nonprofit organization. MPP is looking for an individual that can provide support for media relations and research done by the Communications department.

MPP is also looking for an individual that can provide support for lobbying and research done by the Federal Policies department.

The application deadline is December 20, 2004. Please see

http://www.mpp.org/internships/index.html

for a comprehensive job description and please review MPP's application guidelines before submitting a cover letter and resume.

With more than 16,000 members and 150,000 e-mail subscribers nationwide, MPP is the largest marijuana policy reform organization in the United States. The organization works to minimize the harm associated with marijuana -- both the consumption of marijuana and the laws that are intended to prohibit such use. MPP believes that the greatest harm associated with marijuana is imprisonment.

Thank you for your interest,

Elizabeth Suellentrop
