Poll question: Which is the bigger contributor to Howard Dean's success?
I think we can all agree that, so far, Howard Dean is doing pretty well in the Democratic nomination process.

So here's a simple question: Which of the following is the bigger contributor to Howard Dean's success?

19. Oh, mine was funny!
But it was a little mean-spirited. Made me look "anti-Dean" which I am not. That's why I thought better of it.

In the spirit of Xmas!

2. You left out the corporate media cheerleading for Dean
which has been a major factor.

10. That would have received my vote as well
Sorry, but the media really isn't reporting anything meaningful to criticize Dean. They talk about non-issues, as if they're saving things for later. This really bothers me.

3. I voted for both.
The Dean campaign has done a lot with very little, but the Kerry and Clark campaigns have done very little with a lot.

4. You left out ....
because the Republicans funded a large part of the Dean Campaign...that's how he got the media attention!

After campaigning for 2 years.....it will be a shock when it all blows up in all of our faces!

5. "Republicans funded a large part of the Dean Campaign"
Pollitical contributions are a matter of public record. You should easily be able to substantiate this if it's true.

7. Baseless.
There is no **proof** of this assertion; it is merely an abusive attack.

There is proof of *another* individual fundraising for the Republicans however........

I have a republican friend who donated to Dean and attends Meetups because he wants him to win, but I don't now if he, or others like him, would account for a "large part" of Dean's funding.

Who is the "individual" who did fundraising for the repukes?

Well, I wouldn't mention his name... but his wardrobe used to have a lot of green in it.

9. Joe Trippi
He's behind the Dean image, the campaign strategy, everything. If people are expecting something new and different out of this election, they need to nominate Joe Trippi, not Howard Dean.

11. The biggest question in my mind about Dean/Clark is......
Why there seems to be 2.5 times as many posters on DU for Clark when the national polls show just the opposite...Dean polls 2.5 times higher than Clark???????

My guess is Dean supporters are busy campaigning, volunteering, working, and living a life.

Whereas many on DU are supporting Clark because to them having a "democrat, even a lifelong republican who only recently converted democrat" in white house is better than a chance of a real democrat in the white house. Clark supporters have no core beliefs, and no back bone. They will sell their mother to get keys to the executive wash room.

13. Maybe
Because Dean is on the news channel 24 hours per day....being called the front runner by the media whores....

Maybe that's why!

15. Ouch.
That was pretty divisive.

I'm a Clark supporter that attends Democrat meetups as well -- perhaps I didn't get the RNC memo that told me to support Clark while trashing all other democrats.

You should take a few deep breaths and count to 10 before typing.

22. None of the above!
The major reason is the media putting Dean's name out there whenever they can. They use inflated comments to prop him up as the man democrats want. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Many folks aren't that involved in politics and rely on what they hear on tv.
