Activism Alert Related to UCC Ad |
For those who support progressive faith statements, here is an easy activism opportunity. Obviously many of you know that CBS and NBC have refused to air an ad from the United Church of Christ that supports diversity and acceptance. Here is the URL if you haven't seen it already to send messages to CBS, NBC, and the FCC. http://www.kintera.org/siteapps/advocacy/index.aspx?c=juI1LcPZG&b=261471&sid=45763750&action=1483&template=unknown%2fzip_take_action.ascx

1. I saw the UCC ad this evening on the History Channel... |
...it was very well done. I can't understand what CBS and NBC found objectionable or offensive about the ad.

4. I don't think they had a problem with the ad... |
just the fear of a backlash erupting from the Christen Fundamentalist movement. Man Date speaks volumes, don't you know?

3. Guess they weren't sending the "right" Jesus message. You know |
let him with sin cast the first stone. I'm an atheist but still respect those who believe in a faith and actually keep their faith instead of corrupting it to their own ends. CBS & NBC should have their licenses revoked.

5. Liberal Christians get bitched at for not "speaking out" |
and when they do they won't even let them on TV. I suppose that's the Christians' fault too?
