Intriguing DU handle. What does it mean, if you care to share. I used to land at Pleiku for fuel on long trail missions in Cambodia and Laos. In fact, I have a great story about a Mohammad Ali fight that they put on the control tower's outside speakers while we were refueling one morning. It was a live fight on AFVN from, probably, Madison Square Garden (this was about 11/1970). As the fight blared at 100+ decibels, Charlie's sleep was disturbed. He/they came up from their hidey-holes and blasted the tower with B-40 rockets. That's not the story, though. The story is that I met Mohammad Ali in the lobby of the Ambassador West hotel in Chicago about 10 years ago and I told him that story. He absolutely loved it. Ironic, given his harsh treatment over Vietnam. I had a little "in." His beautiful niece was one of my flight attendants on that trip. She introduced me to "the champ," and we got along like old friends.
