Any news about Teresa Heinz Kerry these days?

I miss Mama T. I have great respect for her intellect and heart, as well as fond affection. In short, I absolutely adore her, always have and always will.

She worked so hard during the campaign, and like Hillary, she became a lightning bolt for outrageous cattiness and right wing hatred, which pains me deeply. It was so cruel and unfair, to anyone, let alone someone as dear and precious as Mama T, who is a rare jewel of a woman.

I'm hoping she is okay.

Anyone have any news about her?

1. I think she's an interesting and intelligent woman

One of my friends who's husband introduced her to Bill O'Really went off on THK one day. How stupid she was and how she had said that poor people should eat better (some kind of riff on "let them eat cake" ). It was so stupid I didn't even bother to address it. Why? it seems futile to engage someone who spews such stuff.

The facts speak for themselves. And I lost a lot of respect for my friend that day.

Kerry's daughters are also low profile----I didn't even know they existed until the campaign and I live in Massaachusetts.

They are probably glad to get back to their own lives.

She was at the Kennedy Center Honors with John Kerry on Sunday. There are pics at Yahoo! and in various threads from earlier today and in the John Kerry Group. I'd post them, but I'm not sure how.

10. I hate the way they made a cartoon character of her.

I was fortunate enough to hear her speak, and she was dignity and grace embodied.

As for her fate these days, well, we can all at least be happy that she will have a lot more freedom in terms of her charitable work. If she had been first lady, she would have had to delegate a lot of things and be limited in power. I also think it might be healing to be out of the spotlight nationally. What a vile experience she must have had, thanks to the Sowells of this age.

As for photos of her hand-in-hand with her husband at the Kennedy Center, just Google "Heinz Kerry" and "Kennedy Center Honors" and you'll have a bunch of websites to choose from.

or at least holds stock in is the kind of business (canning) where you produce locally. Most US production by heinz is produced here. Most overseas production by heinz is produced overseas. tomatoes don't ship very economically.

She does not employ anyone at Heinz factories, because she does not own or run Heinz.

Do some homework and you will know the truth. Start at the Heinz corporate website, where you will see a statement from them explaining that THK does not own or run Heinz.
