We should focus attention on those Republicans |
|
who should be increasingly alienated by the Bush Cabal . Polite , insistent letters and calls , especially from those of us who are constituents ,on key issues such as Iraq , Social Security , the environment and the deficit could underscore how far this group has strayed from moderate Republican orthodoxy . We should respectfully and repeatedly question how they can support the radical agenda which their party has been hijacked to promulgate . Target legislators would include Hagel , Snow , Collins , Chafee , Shays among others . I have almost given up on McCain , but you never know about him . Things are likely to be so bad by the mid terms , that we can pick off some seats in Congress ,and if we add a few more ala Jeffords , we might be in a position to thwart W and his cronies until '08 and the country regains its sanity .

1. Called Specter about his groveling to the evangelical radicals... |

I also emailed saying that I was a moderate Republican in PA sick to death of the heavy-handed tactics of the right-wing zealots. I encouraged him to stand up to them and not just roll over at their command. Unfortunately, he not only had to roll over, but sit up and beg too after the fundie pressure to block his judicial chair position. Nauseating!!!!

These guys are being shafted right and left . It has to piss them off . They need to know that they will be held complicit with W if they don't get in step with they know is correct .
