Sept. 20, 2004: Kerry sets timetable for Iraq

Dec. 8, 2004: Rumsfeld sees pullout from Iraq in 4 years

Remind me again why (allegedly) a majority of American voters preferred Bush on security issues?

1. it wasn't anything specific, it was the perception
the media pretty much repeats right wing talking points so their "reporting" would hurt Kerry and just reinforce the right wing attacks. like Kerry has no plan for Iraq. but of course we now see much of what is being said we need to do in Iraq is what Kerry had been saying throughout the campaign. such as the problem with shortage of troops.

Bush's plan for Iraq "you know where i stand" "i say what i mean" and other empty shitty meaningless statements.

8. BTW, did anyone else catch our riff that JFK stole in his first
post election interview?

He actually used the phrase "Terra terra terra!"

ok, he actually pronounced it correctly, but still.

was I the only one who noticed that?

3. This is why it is so frustrating
when kerry was asked THREE times during the debate he NEVER answered it adequately EVEN THOUGH he had a good explanation

During the campaign kerry was asked if he would have voted the same way on give * authority to go into Iraq he said yes. That is why kerry deserved to lose:

1. It is the job of Congress to declare war, NOT THE PRESIDENT. Except for a handfull of people in Congress most of them were cowards, including kerry

2. After the first four years of * for him to say he would have voted the same way is an outrage

7. I think we have a winner.
or maybe a weiner.

It's not so much that the SCLM fronts for Bush; it's more like they do so indirectly by trying to be fair. when you afford something approximating equal time to both sides, and one of them just flat-out lies while the other one finesses, well, who do you think will carry the day?

9. Flip flop labels aside, Kerry failed to explain himself clearly to
the American people. Too many people were left saying, "HUH, WTF?", after listening to him speak. That's the area I think Clark would've cleaned up. Clark's message was always clear and there was no misunderstanding him.

Kerry explained himself quite clearly in the debates. People said he won, espectially debate one on nat'l security.

But Bush Rove Cheney said over and over again that Dems won't keep you safe. And Bush voters want to believe the president. And the media repeated it non-stop w/o question.

Don't get me wrong, Clark is great. But if you google around, you will find made up crap ala swift boat that Rove Cheney and Bush would have used on him as well.

11. Kerry 08 -- the "I told you so" candidate
I'm going to start a list of these things that Kerry said and got raked for during the campaign, which Bush and Co. subsequently apparently agreed with, or which turned out to be true.

Should be quite the list 4 years from now.
