why dems are losing

There is not one single liberal or mainstream host on a big signal American radio station.

There is not one dem friendly network or cable news channel.

John Kerry didn't only have to beat George Bush, he had to beat the entire radio dial across every state in middle America and the south.

George Soros is probably the dumbest billionaire I have seen. Instead of investing all of his money into *crap*, he should of been planning takeovers of CNN,or starting his own news network. He should of been buying up radio stations in markets in Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas and other places.

We cant compete with that folks. Guess what we don't have? We dont have a talking point machine that we can send the days talking points to, and have it churned over and over and over again by a 24/7 lineup of dem hosts , which is played out on EVERY SINGLE STATION repeatedly in all of America. Ever drive through the country and listen to the radio?

Who do you think the guy on the tractor, listening to his radio while he works his field is going to vote for? When all he hears is basically the GOP 2004 convention on his radio dial over and over day in and day out, with no OTHER GOD DAMN CHOICEs....who do you think he is oging to vote for?

It's time we WAKE THE FUCK UP. We have nothing, and I mean NOTHING to compete with the GOP talking point machine. They own THE ENTIRE COMMUNICATIONS PORTS OF THE U.S.A.

Anything we say will be refuted, trounced and insignificant in the presence of the mosnter GOP talking point machine.

Until we start buying back some of the American media, we will be locked into defeat in perpetuity.

2. I saw somewhere that there are 2 completely different parts of US
Media:
News oriented, and entertainment.

Entertainment can be considered to be liberal - movies, television comedies like Sex in the City, Friends, Ellen, etc... Jerry Springer and other talk shows, MTV, etc.

While the Media to inform and educate about news, the world, important issues is ALL in the hands of conservatives.....

This is one explanation of why the media can be called "liberal", but I think it is done in a very sly and dishonest way....lumping them together when they cannot be.

3. The GOP controls most of the media and most of the voting machines.
Those are the only two reasons that they control all of government today.

Any Dem analyst that claims otherwise is a complete moron and deserves a pink slip.

4. Mixed messages
I was beginning to believe it was due to vote fraud as to why Republicans were winning and we are losing. Is it fraud or something else now?

5. Looking for one single cause is pointless...
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 03:27 PM by DistressedAmerican
There are many factors at work here. Bad nominees, the media, a mindless zombified electorate, apathy, manipulation of voting based on religion, and vote fraud among them. The focus on single causation is doomed to failure as someone else can set up another variable as THE cause. There are a bunch of problems. We've got a shit load of work to do. Fighting about which cause is the root problem only distracts from attacking them all.

Point out the problem that most annoys you but not to the exclusion of others. These are not mutually exclusive options.

6. Some things:
(1) Obviously, more than one factor always influences an election's outcome.

(2) Different people have different opinions. Some believe factor A was more important, some think it was factor B.

(3) Your point is?

7. I think we won, it's our leaders who wimped out.
People hung tough in those lines past unreasonable poll challenges and against all odds and still managed to get in there and cast a vote, never mind if it would up in the wrong column.

We were all, all that, this year and we will win in the end.

8. I agree one hundred and fifty fucking percent. Just the time devoted to
the swiftboat guys versus say, oh the fact that almost everything used to support the invasion of Iraq was a fabrication?
