Eye opening chart on national debt

Have you all seen this? I have used it in several political arguments on other forums.

6. Where did it go?
What was that line about not wanting to bomb Afghanistan because we'd be using a million dollar missile to hit a camel in the ass?

Sorry if that sounded racist, but them's the facts.

Lots of camels, and tents, and adobe huts, and flimsy infrastructure that needs blowing up in that part of the world. Not so many museums and hospitals, but I think we got all those too. And the middle class houses, and palaces, and corrugated metal shacks. And women, children, insurgents, goats, wedding parties, old men, taliban, coalition soldiers, and anything else moving.

:nuke: *MISSION ACCOMPLISHED* :nuke:

PS If you want a fun project, go to the CIA world factbook (www.cia.gov), add together the populations of Iraq and Afghanistan, and divide by the amount of money we've spent on the wars. It's a real eye opener.

7. Here's the deal
There are 25 million people in Iraq.

We've spent 149 billion dollars there.

That's 5,960 dollars for every person in the country.

The per capita GDP is 1,500 dollars in Iraq.

We've spent 508 dollars for the Iraq war for every person in the US.

There are 28 million people in Afghanistan.

We've spent 58 billion dollars there.

That's 2,071 dollars for every person in the country.

The per capita GDP is 700 dollars in Afghanistan.

We've spent 197 dollars for the Afghan war for every person in the US.

We've spent a total of 706 dollars for every person in the US on the "War on Terror."

And to justify and totally vindicate my earlier snide remark:

"We've already started planning to ship seed for the next spring planting and live animals to restore the loss of huge portions of the sheep and goat herds," said Andrew S. Natsios, administrator for the Agency for International Development.

8. Every American and every baby born in the future now owes
$27,000.00 this is their share of the debt and george isn't even through. He's got four more years to add on to this whopping bill.

Its shocking, its scary, and we are all going to pay dearly with the collapse of our economy.
